Let's go to camp! Summer church camp is one of the most memorable events of youth ministries and some teenagers will grow up saying it was one of the best week of their lives. It really can be life changing!
This year we are going back to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Camp, in the country just a few miles from Cedar Hill, TX. We had great feedback from students, travel remains easy, and it's 6 days! We believe this camp will best fit the needs of our studen ministry this summer.
How To Sign Up:
To register your teenager, scan the QR code on the graphic above/type in the link below into your device, create an account on the camp website (or use last years'), and complete each step as you ar eguided through the registration process. When it asks you for a church code, put "oaklandheights". I will recieve weekly updates the check your registration and make sure you completed it.

The cost of camp for you is $185, after OHBC uses some budgeted money. Please plan to pay a $75 Registration fee, and the remaining balance of $110 by June 29. Payment can be made using this registration page, or by cash/check. There is a $5 transaction fee for each payment.
**Students who serve on the New Orleans Mission Trip please pay $150 total for camp**
Approximately two weeks before camp we will have a meeting to distribute all the information needed to pack and prepare. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact me. Overcoming Obstacles is a one-of-a-kind, high-energy ninja experience along with a challenging and encouraging message of hope in the face of obstacles that reaches students with the gospel of Jesus. Their team will come in and setup full obstacle courses similar to those as seen on the competition show “American Ninja Warrior”. This will be a special outreach for students of all ages held at Longview Christian School.

The Rise Weekend is a local event designed for Longview area churches to bring their youth groups together for large worship gatherings led by relevant, biblical, and engaging musicians and speakers. There will be a Thursday evening kickoff (January 23), and then students will stay with the church from Friday afternoon through the end of Sunday morning worship on January 26. Students will be divided up into gender specific small groups led by trusted young adults, and spend the night at homes of screened and approved members of OHBC.
When we are less than two weeks from the event, students and parents will be contacted to get appropriate church waivers turned in, and you will receive a complete weekend schedule and packing list.
The cost for the event will be $60 and includes the event expenses, meals for the weekend, transportation, and an event t-shirt. Payment is not due at registration, but will need to be paid prior to January 23. There are a limited number of partial scholarships available to help families in need of some assistance.
